Meet Mrs. Dayus
After receiving a Bachelor’s in International Ministry in Chicago, Mrs. Dayus moved to Central Eastern Europe. She spent three years in Slovakia teaching English to all ages and levels via formal classes, summer camps, and weekly after school clubs. Mrs. Dayus then moved to Prague, Czech Republic, where she studied and received a Masters in Applied Theology. Mrs. Dayus also taught English as a Second Language courses at the seminary. After returning to the states, Mrs. Dayus took graduate courses in education where she received a Graduate Teacher Certificate with a focus on elementary education from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She then moved down to Florida to begin teaching in an elementary classroom, which Mrs. Dayus has done since 2014.
Any chance Mrs. Dayus gets, she will be outside and active. Since moving to the Treasure Coast from Orlando, Mrs. Dayus can often be found at the beach, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, or just walking along collecting shells. Not only does she love outdoor adventures and exploring, but Mrs. Dayus loves learning, reading, and investigating new ideas. She has learned so much just by being a 4th grade teacher.
Mrs. Dayus taught 4th grade at Treasure Coast Classical Academy during its inaugural year (2019-2020), which was her introduction to classical education. Mrs. Dayus values the focus of virtue development in classical education, which is integrated throughout the TCCA curriculum. The education that Treasure Coast Classical Academy offers is thorough and engaging in every subject area, which makes Mrs. Dayus value being a part of this amazing school.
