Time Change for 24-25 School Year
On Friday, May 12, 2023, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law bipartisan legislation (HB 733) that requires the instructional school day to begin no earlier than 8 a.m. for middle schools and 8:30 a.m. for high schools in the state beginning in 2026. Florida is the second state, after California (SB 328), to mandate later school start times statewide. The later school start times have been implemented to promote teen health, safety, and academic performance.
While we are not required to make this change until the 25/26 school year, the Martin County School district has requested that we begin in the 24/25 school year. This will give us a year to work out any kinks in the new schedule.
As a result of this legislation, beginning next school year:
- ALL grade levels will begin the school day at 8:30 am and end at 3:30 pm.
- Morning car line will open at 7:30 am
- Afternoon car line will close at 4:10 pm
- Before-care will open at 7:00 am
- After-care will end at 6:00 pm

Spring season begins this week!

Soccer & Basketball- The boys basketball team played their last game against Benjamin last Wednesday. The girls Soccer team played Berean Christian's middle school team today. These were their last games of the season. Both teams have shown so much improvement, skill and virtue this season. Shout out to their amazing coaches who have worked so hard all season! We are so proud of our Winter season teams and can't wait to see what they will accomplish next year!
Cheer- The TCCA competitive cheer team is gearing up for their first competition on February 17th in Wellington. They have been working so hard and are so excited to compete in their first event! Thank you to Aerial Elite who has been allowing us to practice at their gym in preparation!
Tennis: Tennis clinics are currently in session and official practices start next month. We are so excited to see what our athletes will accomplish this season! Stay tuned for events where you can come support our athletes!
Track & Field: Track & Field practices start this week. They will begin training for upcoming events! Stay tuned for events where you can come support our athletes!
Beach Volleyball: Beach Volleyball starts next week, we look forward to a great practice season. They will be learning to work together as a team and gain knowledge of the sport in the hopes to become competitive next year!
Flag Football: Flag Football practice starts today. They will be learning to work together as a team and gain knowledge of the sport in the hopes to become competitive next year!
